The step of “Kamisuki (papermaking)” often appears in the media, but first we need the materials (barks of paper mulberry) to make paper.

Beginning with field work,
which takes a lot of time and effort to make the paper mulberry, or kozo, ready for use.

Throughout the process, I think there is a charm of paper manufacturing that is connected to nature.

There is the Niyodo River and there are the mountains.
The intersection of human life and nature.
I wish I could get you an opportunity to feel it and think here.

This workshop will allow participants to experience a deeper hands-on understanding of the process of Washi.
